Each space provides an opportunity to feel
valued: people with developmental disabilities gain social experience
here that is not always possible at home, make friends, learn
independent living skills, and acquire useful knowledge.
The funds from the sale of products
go, among other things, to rent the premises and pay for consumables,
helping the workshop survive.
Participants also receive a salary. For
many of them, this is the only employment opportunity, as creating jobs
for people with disabilities is a significant challenge. Yet, work
engagement, like full employment, is crucial for the self-realization
and full adult life of any person.
